About us...
Angel G. Rivera-Colón
I'm a master student, currently in my fourth semester at University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras. I work at Riccardo Papa's lab on the Genomics of eyespot number variation in the butterfly Bicyclus anynana. Essentially, we are using a genome wide approach to determine the genetic architecture underlying eyespot variation, focusing primarily in dorsal hindwing eyespot number variation.

Luz M. Serrato Diaz. MSc.
PhD. Student
Research: Plant Genomics, Fungal Genomics, Molecular Biology.
Currently in my second year of doctoral studies at Dr. Bayman’s Lab at University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras. My research is focused on studying angular leaf spot (ALS) in the common bean and to evaluate genetic response of common bean populations to ALS in order to generate effective markers for marker assisted selection of resistance to ALS.
